Artocratia

Social network for art lovers

Used technologies

European Website: Artocratia

The initial idea in 2020 was to create a website for collectors to showcase hidden art. However, during the development process, it became apparent that it was necessary for other directions as well. Eventually, the site shifted its focus and evolved into a social network for all participants in the art world.

Today, Artocratia is a product of art and technology connoisseurs — a platform where masterpieces of many well-known collectors are showcased, artists' works are sold, communication happens through chats and news feeds, there is an educational platform, and institutions and exhibition events are featured. The project is constantly evolving and updating.

The main technologies used on the website are React, GraphQL, Node.JS, and Elastic.

  • React: Front-end
  • Node.JS: Backend and API
  • GraphQL: Data transfer between backend and frontend
  • Elastic Search: Search engine

Simultaneously, a mobile application is being developed using React Native technology.

The project initially started with a team of two developers, but eventually, I took on the entire development, and to this day, I continue to lead it.
